Buraidah and Its Surrounding Area
To the south of Buraidah is Al-Sibaq, where old farms are distinguished for their palm trees and various crops. Visitors are invited to tour the many orchards and buy vegetables directly from the farmers. To see and learn more about this old city’s civilization, visit Hasat Antarah (Al-Naslah, which means “the separated rock”), and view the ancient inscriptions and carvings made on the rock thousands of years ago.
Dates City
A shopping visit to the Qassim dates market is an unforgettable experience, especially when you go during the harvest season in August and September. The date city has the main market in Buraidah, where the Dates Annual Festival is organized. In addition, there are markets for selling perennial and seasonal dates.
Water Tower
This tower is considered a distinctive landmark in Buraidah city. It is comprised of an open floor at the top allowing the visitor to see the whole city. Another distinctive facility in the Province is the King Khalid Cultural Center, which is a huge center for holding lectures, meetings and exhibitions.
Buraidah Museum
Pieces of Buraidah heritage have been well-preserved and collections of artifacts are on exhibit in this museum. It includes a pavilion for collections that belonged to the late King Abdul-Aziz, and displays a number of exhibits and artifacts that enable the visitor to learn about the culture and social activities in the city’s past.
Museum of Al-Dubaikhi Heritage Palace
This museum was once an old house owned by a Qassim citizen, and it tells a heritage story through the style of its architecture as well as the many artifacts displayed inside. Like many other old buildings that have been preserved in the city, this museum is evidence that the citizens of Qassim appreciate the rich heritage of the past while keeping up with the need for modern development and renewal.
